Introductions - New from Ireland

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, I just joined. I live in Dublin and I cycle approx. 20km a day to and from work on my Speciailized Sirrus Standard 2006 model. I haven't made any modifications to it but have recently started investigating upgrading parts of it. So far, I have bought (but not yet fitted) clipless pedals and I have my eye on maybe changing the fork because the roads around here are pretty bumpy. I'm also in the market for a second bike, but I haven't decided what kind I want yet. Anyway good to be on board.

Welcome...if you've visited this site enough, you know it is a source of knowledge and entertainment.
I've never visited Ireland, but there are a few forum members from there and pics of your country and all the great rides make me a bit envious. :-)
Finally, if you're in the market for a second bike, you have to at least consider fixed gear...check out that forum while you're here. Once you get past the whining and OT conversations, you'll gain an apprecaition for bikes lacking the meachanics of your Sirrus and why people actually enjoy riding them.
