I just wanted to pay homage to a great track champion and remind you all to be careful out there, on the road or track.

Taken from CyclingPlus UK January 2007 issue:

“The cycling world has been left devastated by the death of Isaac Galvez, who was involved in a fatal crash on the penultimate night of the Gent six-day track races in late November. Galvez, the Madison world champion and road rider with Caisse d’Epargne-Illes Balears, apparently touched shoulders with Dimitri De Fauw at high speed and was catapulted onto the metal barriers. He lost consciousness immediately and, despite attempts at resuscitation, died on the way to the hospital.”
