I have just bought a Ladies Robin Hood in Pretty Good shape , and am looking for local East Bay resources
so I can fix my new Bike for the Summer, any Ideas ?

Best sources I know for English 3 speeds are on the East COAST but they both sell over the net so they might be worthwhile checking.

Nice catch on the Robin Hood.
The Robin Hood bicycles were made by Raleigh in the 1960's in "Notingham, England". Very romantic. In fact, you will notice the Raleigh phoenix stamp on most of the components like the crank, etcetera.
They are nice riders as all Raleigh three speeds were. If you are wondering about the date, look at the two digits stamped on the Sturmey Archer three-speed hub. You probably have a 68 which is of course, 1968.
I just gave a girls Robin Hood away along with a mens Raleigh made 1963 "Grand-Champion". The Grand Champion had a neat brass headbadge with Knight in armor motif. Really neat.
These wonderful British bikes are still under-valued on the collector market. I just couldn't sell mine, so I gave them to a recently imigrated couple from Equador who use them to ride to work - that's great too. Those British bikes were meant to be on the road. The most beautiful thing about them is the smooth ride and reliability, anyway.

unbelievable. i was just given a men's robin hood by my father-in-law. i've seen it hanging in his garage for many years. hasn't been touched in years.
