Hey? Who like 'em? I already sort of asked this in another thread, but, well, you see, I'm a bastard. How's about water resistance? I see they're laminated, but I want to hear it straight from the mouths of the BF horses.

I've had mine for a few months. They haven't broken or delaminated or anything, but they do stretch quite a bit (an inch and counting), and they're poorly proportioned from a design standpoint (but then, most double straps are, in my mind). Yeah, they're cheaper than MKS or Toshis, but are they really worth the money savings? I would have thought yes, but now I'm wondering. I think you'd actually spend less money in the long term in hard riding conditions just getting a set of better doubles.

Just picked up a pair yesterday to replace the singles I got....but the ones on my left had a great amount of streaching to them after a few skids and skips from pulling up on them...update on these Doubles later.

i'm not sure what other people mean by laminated, but i've always understood it to mean a layer of nylon being sandwiched between two layers of leather, which my soma doubles do not have... they are decent straps for the money, but i can see that i will have to replace them after not long... if you don't ride hard, go for it - if you are really tough on your bike, i'd say go for something else... of course, i'm not even sure if the double strap thing is for me - i might go back to singles...

I think that you'd be better getting Toshi single straps. They're the same price (ish) and are much higher quality.

get singles for the same price or upgrade to good doubles. these things are not that great. they have stretched like a ***** and wont ever stay tight.

Right on. I think I'll just get some Ale's. They're much cooler and, well, Italian-er.
