Hm. You seem to be rather interested in Pfeard.

Exciting today: Almost had a bike-gasm looking at some Cervelo TT bikes today. But there were none with DuraAce. :(

Does everything have to be dura ace VV? Ride some, start at the bottom.

That bike is campagnolo record. Far sexier than DA in my opinion. DA doesn't have carbon fiber deraileurs, cranks, or shift levers.....let alone skeletonized brakes :)

oh, and for a pic of a nice campy equipped bike, here's my roadie (mixed campy centaur/chorus/record of various years)

But Campy has those mouse ears. Otherwise, it's rather sexy. :)

For me, though, DuraAce. Baybuh, if I'm going for some good TT times, I'm startin' at the top, so that the rest is just gooooood training. :D

I'm just being real with you here VV.

It's all about the rider, and much less about the bike. Train on whatever you have and get yourself in TT shape. The weight of the bike is just icing on the cake.

Yeah, they may look odd, but seriously, at least the pre QS campy shift so nicely (haven't used QS yet)....you can go to any gear you desire in a single quick movement. That and the hoods IMO are more comfy.

And for TT, if I get light enough to have the energy to go all out for 15km, I will be using that bike in the TT series here this summer.

:D Well, as an engineer, I figured if I can eliminate the things on which I can blame failure, then I can only get better by improving my own performance, n'est-ce pas? < VV just spoke French, Jon>

[Side note: ever read "It's Not About The Bike"?]

QuickShift. Campy went away from their old shift system (ratcheted, multi-click shifting both directions), and went to a single shift, ultra-short throw shift. Personally, I find the concept less than desirable, and am in the process of sourcing lots of rebuild kits for my Chorus brifters (pre-carbon fiber on mine approx 2003 model I think).

Yeah turns out I may have to do some more adjustments to my bike to make it UCI legal....saddle is too far forward, but that might be acceptable if I can prove that it needs to be that far forward for physical reasons. If I have to do that, it means I have to find an even shorter stem....that one is pretty darn short to begin with....sheesh.
