The tour de palm springs is coming up pretty soon and I need to make a hotel reservation. We usually stay at the Rivera Hotel, which is pretty nice and reasonably priced. I think rooms used to priced at about $120-$150 per night. Unfortunately, it's closed for renovations. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in palm springs for approximately that same price? Thanks! And see you at the tour!

I booked the Desert Lounge through expedia. It was $79 per night and per mapquest it is about 1.2 miles away from the starting line. I have not stayed there before and have no clue on the hotel quality, but I suppose it will be good enough for one night sleep, shower and changing clothes.

I once stayed at the Best Western that is down the street from the school...but I think they moved the start so it wouldn't be as convenient.

I have always ended up with a hotel that is far away from the start... but most places seem pretty decent out there...

I have been staying in P.S. for the last 6 years for the tour, the prices this year have gone UP a HUGE amount. I am just going to drive up there in the morning.

I have stayed at the Pepper Tree Inn - just a couple blocks from downtown, and the Hotel California - a couple miles from downtown.

They were both were pretty good.

Too bad im not doing this ride... thought about it.... cause I have access to a resort timeshare and I could get a studio for 2 people up to a 2-3 bedroom condo that sleeps 8 people comfortably...

They have a location in Palm Springs

Book something quick cuz its filling up fast.

(when I booked mine back in December, I was surprised to find all the good ones booked.

I usually stay in Desert Hot Springs at one of the many Spa's.
Really relaxing (only about 10 rooms), plenty of soak in natural springs etc. (10 minut ride to start line)
I've stayed at Hope Springs and 'The Springs' recently, both fantastic times. (price is about 160-180/night)

This time I've booked a bungalow at "Place in the Sun". Never been there but its in PS, close to downtown, and only place with salt water pools and spas.....I'm gonna need that soak!

c u there :-)
