Road Cycling - saddle for a scrawny ass?

im one skinny bicyclist (and tall too - 6'1" and 145 lbs). i want to start riding longer disances and am looking for a new saddle. my old selle italia is falling apart. should i get a brooks? will it break my bony ass? should i get one of those new fangled gel cutout things?

any suggestions of what whould be good for my narrow seatbones and scant butt fat are appreciated.

No-one has a scrawnier ass than me. I find that the Brooks B17 narrow works fine. It may seem a bit hard for the first few rides, but after a couple of weeks gentle riding it will mould in. No need for any magic potions or treatments, just regular small rides.

I've been described as having no ass
(as opposed to being ... no thats a different thread),
and I'm riding a Brooks B17 and comfortably at that.
I think that lighter riders have a longer break in time
for the brooks, but no real proof of that.

Did you notice ? the Sachs leather saddle looks suspiciously like a BROOKS PRO???

Its the standard San Marco regal, only in red
and I think the badge on the rear of the saddle
says Richard Sachs, or something like that.
Very much like Brooks, but its a plastic shell based
saddle, very little padding, and no anatomic cutouts.
I've found the same one in basic black for a bit less,
however that defeats the wanting to own something
that says Richard Sachs doesn't it?
