Gonna ride the trainer in just a minute, if I pretend I am commuting, does that count?
I just got off of the trainer. Two 10 minute tempo sets and one 15 minute tempo set at 90-100 RPM with 10 minute warm up and 2 minutes between sets. I think I sweated off 3 pounds.
I'm a firm believer that if you have to ask, you already know the answer to your question.

Jeez...not a lot of bike commuters hitting this thread I take it.
The ride home through the blowing snow was the best ride of the winter. Just wear layers of the kind of cycling gear and fabrics that work for you in the cold and enjoy!
The thought crossed my mind to go back out this afternoon after I got my daughter home. May have missed my chance at a ride while snowing. I did ride back during the ice days. It was nice as long as you avoided the ice that hung around in the shadows. I took a spill on one of those spots.
Dang...that's hardcore jabowker. I went down on some parking lot black ice one morning on the way in and hit the trainer until after that. The only thing challenging about riding home today was keeping my glasses clear of those fat wet flakes.

I should point out that my rides at the moment aren't necessarily all that long 5-7mi usually, 10 at the most. I took my spill on MLK day, my ride log has noted that it was 28 deg out. Was returning some movies to Blockbuster and a couple of other errands.
Today I had ridden earlier in the drizzle and it wasn't bad. This afternoon I had just picked up my daughter from school and was taking her home when she told me she needed another notebook so I was thinking of making a trek down to Office Depot. Would have been another six mile ride or so.

I really dont have a set routine. Just rode for a bit shy of an hour tonight. All the time in the smallest three cogs in back, big in front. Vary the mag resistance from medium to high. Think cadence was in the 80s to 90s from a few manual counts. Need to get a computer with rear wheel sensor and cadence.

The Weather Service website said it was -2F when I got to work this morning. Luckily my ride is only 10 minutes. It was interesting on the bike trail with 4 inches of crusty snow, quite a workout. I rode home the other night in a heavy snow storm. It was a blast! I've only had one spill this winter on the ice and that was only because I stupidly tried to turn too sharp. I'm looking forward to the 50 degree temps this weekend. I'll ride outside (extended rides, not commuting to work) if it is above 40 but I end up getting cold to the point that I have a hard time warming up when I get back home.
