What is it about this winter? I just had to turn on my freakin' A/C! Today's temps here must have topped 75F! And my heat had been set at 69F! It's hot as h3ll in here and humid. WTF?!
Anyone else in the southeast, or anywhere in the northern hemisphere, had to crank up the A/C this winter? Or is Vega just havin' a hot flash?

The mosquitos came back to life last night, and were going crazy today. It is still 70 right now!
We've got below freezing for the past 4-5 days in Oregon, some temps below 0 F on the east side...

We had freezing rain today and are suppose to get snow tomorrow. The prospects of riding Tuesday are slim at this point.

Must be increased levels of CO2 or something like that.

Nope me too.
I am just south of you in Augusta Ga and it's humid today and while I wouldn't say hot...it's warm for January.

Man, at least the 'skeeters aren't a nuisance here.
A/C still on at 9:30pm, and still feelin' mighty fine.
Discuss, you "cold-country" Foo'ers. :D

I LOVE the four seasons...thank you very much.
We get blizzards, you get hurricanes. Let me ponder that one a minute...2 feet of snow or 200 mph winds, hmmmmm...

One day last week was almost 70. Besides that, I'd say the norm has been in the 50's, with a few days in the low 70's. Looking like cold weather for as long as the forecast can tell.

I moved here from Maine.
I haven't seen one of these hurricanes yet that you are referring to....and it's coming up on 6 years.
February...temps in the 50s and 60s during the day.
I'll take it.....take your four seasons and love em all you want.

Welcome to my world. During December, needed A/C in the car and at home. Now, it's January, and misquotoes are killing us.

I read an article by a scientist who was funded by a big oil company who said Global Warming was a myth, so it couldn't possibly be that...

AZ was cold today. I was riding in the mid-40s today and it was sunny. Usually a sunny day is worth at least 55F. It seemed really cold because it was in the 70s earlier this week, that was nice.
But A/C at 75F? Give me a break. I don't see how 75F can be "hot as hell". Even with wicked humidity that's "just right" or "cool". Was it really cold last week? Are we talking a relative "hot as hell"? You cold weather folks are a bunch of softies... geeze
And yes, I realize I called mid-40s cold. Us warm weather folks are a bunch of softies.

Hey, if you understand thermo, and real-world HVAC, you know that 70F heat feels different from 70F cold.
I'm still on A/C, which is, at 11:30pm, only startin' to feel "cool." Gonna go back to heat at 63F, as usual, and head to bed.

Well, here in Oklahoma City it's a balmy 23F outside with lots of ice on the ground (and more pellets falling!). I've been housed up all weekend. I don't trust the drivers around here in this weather to even touch the roads.

Hey, we don't like to drive around in bad sleety, icy weather (which is what we usually get, vs real snow, on which one CAN drive). It's usually the yanks who insist that they can handle the freakin' ICY conditions. Unfortunately, not only is ICE not the same as SNOW, but we don't have the same level of slag and sand precautions as do our northern neighbors.
We, here in the South, do truly appreciate ANY excuse for a day off from work. We tend to stock up on bread, milk and generators prior to a perceived bad winter storm. And, we're generally not the ones foolish enuf to be out on the roads in less-than-optimal conditions, given our known lack of sand/slag preparedness. (:p)
I've got my house back on 63F heat, BTW. It was startin' to feel a bit chilly at 65F, and a few Kahlua Especials. :D

If global warming is real, it would account for less than a degree. So, in fact, it's not that.

I read a book on thermo once. It seems that the 2nd law told me what I couldn't do rather than what I could do. WTF!

Crazy temps, man.
I camped out in the So Cal desert last weekend and it got down to 15ºF!
The coldest night I ever had camping.
