People with tight jeans fiding fixed gear bikes...call Bicycling magazine, quick!
Mostly I just ride really fast on the roads/trails with my bikes. After looking at those pics, I wish I did more fooling around like that...looks like a lot of fun.

I love that picture. all those arching tire marks reminds me of when I used to ride flatland.

Thanks man! I got some GREAT shots today too! Gimme 24 hours and I'll have them up. I think I snapped 300 pics today! My Leica was a WISE purchase!

I changed my mind. I'm just stoked on the entire thing. I need to read more blogs that involve people riding their bikes and having a good time.

Too much post-shoot cropping for me though.

A friend of mine (kyle) said something about maybe helping out David w/ that documentary. I saw the trailer for Fast Friday and it looked like you guys had some good stuff going on.
I miss my hometown sometimes!

Are you shooting w/a Panasonic DVX100? That's a hot camera. 24P, 2 on-camera XLR inputs=nice.

snark != hate
I am wondering when the collective unconscious is going to get tired of the 4 tricks you can do on fixed and start going back to 20", though

There are far more than four tricks, and just like BMX, the sport is progressing...I can think of a few things more than 4:
-Leg over Skids
-Leg Over/Leg Through Skids
-Wheelies
-Bunny Hops
-Gaps
-BarSpins
-Slalom Skids
-TrackStands
-etc etc
I do not pratcie any of these tricks...I just ride...but still, as I said, it is still progressing. New tricks will emerge, and variations on old tricks as well!

I mean, I don't have a problem with any of it, and I do mess around in parking lots plenty myself, it just seems like as more people get interested in tricks maybe people will start getting back into bikes made for the purpose. I also think the possibilities of flatland with a fixed hub never really got exhausted, I'd love to see that come back.
PS - I have beer for the first FG decade I see successfully executed. The chick in the german trickbike video doesn't count

Yeah same here.
I do have a BMX bike and if I wanna do tricks (not that I really can lol) I use it, if for nothing else beside the expense of replacing 700c rims and things

Not at all, you should see the rednecks around here in their Wranglers.... and THEY make fun of cyclists in spandex :D

trevor meyer was doing the fixed gear flatland thing back in the 90s and I'm sure that if it wasn't him, and his tricks didn't look like the stuff from Quicksilver, it would have been appreciated more.
I would love to see what kevin jones could do with a fixed hub.

Yeah, meyer rode fixed for a while, I think a couple of the crazy Scandinavians who were really pushing all of the pedal tricks for a while messed with it too, but it just really never went very far.
Yeah same here.

Ok BMX are better for trick but ...
I'm 36, I'm too old for crazy BMX tricks, I totally love fixed gear bikes and I like to do some skids and other stoopid things on my bike.
