I saw a documentary about LA's sprawl and towards the end they interviewed actor Ed Begley, Jr. I've seen him on a bunch of things, I think everybody has. But I had no idea how green he was. I don't know if he's car free, but he said he walks or bikes everywhere and they showed him riding around on what looked like a fairly modest bike. He's been an advocate for the lifestyle since the early 70's.
Turning up at Hollywood events on his bicycle, Ed has been considered an environmental leader in the Hollywood community for many years.

They also showed his house, which has to be about the most modest celeb. house I've ever seen. He's got it rigged up with a ton of green systems, and actually puts fresh water back into the city system.
