I tell you what two is better than one.

We recieved a new clerk in the office, and it turns out he lives about 3 miles from me, directly on the road I take to work. And he rides.

So, I'm all, like, you know, cool and the gang!

We compare routes and he goes some long way, and I go a shorter way...

So our first trip he rides with me on the way home.. and he calls me Lance, because it's all about hills on my route.

So, hearing his whine (just kidding), I agree to follow his route home.. Which is pretty much flat.. and fast, and portions are on a bike path so you can make decent time with out cars.

So today, we ride into work together after hit and miss.

And it should have been Buch and Sundance.

We smoked that ride to work. Normally it's a 57 minute ride for me (15.9 miles). Today we made it in 51 minutes 31 seconds. Riding in pairs, we take a lane on the road (being that it's 5 am and all) on the two lanes, and take turns breaking away and rolling eachother in. We ran a few lights here and there.. But I tell you what, as a singular unit, I get honked at (in the bike lane) wedged at turns, etc. Two makes a force, because no one did anything, and stayed clear of us!

So now we're gonna bike pool to work from now on, probably two days a week for a while, then up to three days a week.

I often commute home with a friend. it takes us longer, because we chat all the way, but means you don't notice the hills, bad weather so much if on your own.

On his way cool way home he takes a bike path for about 5 miles, and I find that despite a 20mph pace, we still manage to yak it up.

Hi,
that sounds so cool. On the weekends, wife, Sis, and me often go for a ride. And it's great having people along for the ride. But there aren't too many riders
around here at 6:00 AM. In fact, I never see anything but traffic.

William Karsten: Congrats! I, too, may be having a partner soon. A guy I work with is talking about driving from his house (20 or so miles away) to mine and then riding in with me. I told him to get his gear and let's get to it!
