This one is all about standing cadence vs. sitting cadence.

Given the same speed, on the same stretch of flat road. What is your standing cadence vs. your sitting cadence. I can only seem to be smooth out of the saddle up to about 70rpms, then my circles get ugly. At a similar speed, I'm running 95-105 rpms while seated.

You????????? ThanX! :)

NO PROBLEMS HERE!! I've have always been told to shift UP 1-2 gears when rising to stand...so of course the cadance would have to drop.

I upshift before I get out of the saddle. A good idea, especially if you're already in your largest cog. At any rate, my standing cadence is generally lower than seated. Although, as the spring goes on, I am able to keep a better spin up some of the climbs out here. Unfortunately, that'll go out the window in the next month when the wind is too bad to ride in.
