We have some really great county roads here, still have protective farm dogs, but the armadillos and vultures on the road are a sight to see !!

Do you know if there's any mountain biking in northern Alabama? I am familiar with the area around Steele and Horse Pens 40 (from climbing) but would like to explore the mountain biking next time down.

Theres tons of good mountain biking in Northeast AL, specifically the Anniston/Oxford area (my hometown). There used to be alot more but some have since been closed to MTBs. Mt Cheaha has a nice new system that has opened since I left. There is a LBS, Funwheels in Oxford, that should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Many people in Alabama have 30,000 or 40,000 acres of land in their private estate, and so do their relatives and friends. People in Alabama use the baskets on their bikes to gather fruits and nuts from the groves.
