Black beans, kidney beans, green beans, lima beans, LOTS of corn, crushed and diced tomatoes, onions, chili powder, lots of cumin and black pepper. I used to put TVP in there until I realized that it's not very good for you. mmmgles.

what is TVP?

TVP - Textured Vegetable Protein - aka Tofu. :p
If there's any food for the taking I'm happy. Hopefully some cheese rice a roni or something.
/shudders
Textured Vegetable Protein. A lot of vegans put it in chili dishes or other dishes where ground meats are used. On it's own, it tastes like cardboard. I found that within the chili, it didn't do much but make it almost resemble a meaty chili. TVP is an isolated soy protein (something not very good for your body, anyway) I stick to loads of beans to get the protein missed from le meats.

well, not quite. both contain isolated soy proteins, but the TVP is particularly worse for you because of all the extra processing it goes through.
When I was living in a vegan house, we used to make "tofu scramble". Basically, you take a block of tofu, crumble it up into a skillet, add some tumeric to make it yellow, and throw in some veggies for color and actual flavor. Ick. I loves me some real eggs.
edit: this (http://www.healthrecipes.com/textured_vegetable_protein.htm) is a quick (read: better) explaination on the differences.

Instead of TVP, just throw some brewers yeast on it to give it that extra something. Even better, use the gunk that brewers yeast makes: Vegemite!

25 years ago, I mixed tofu in about equal parts with eggse to make a scrambled egg-like substance. It wasn't bad really, but after I found I have a genetic condition that makes my blood cholesterol very low, I figured "why bother?"

I've got a pork roast in the oven! It's not as big as the Stormcrowe family roast but it will taste good none the less!
I made some darn good chili a few nights ago. I'll probably do leftovers. But I might make another run to the grocery store, since it snowed a little more last night. Snow is fun!

I'm going to stir fry veggies, mushrooms and Tofu, also have some rice. Maybe a few pot stickers too.
I made a peanut butter on cinnamon raisin bread sandwich thingy for dinner. Then two of my housemates decided they wanted to make spaghetti. So I guess I'm having spaghetti also.

Man I love a rotisserie! The roast pork tenderloin turned out so tender it melted on the tongue and was as moist as can be! Cut like hot butter with the fork on the plate!

Think I'll pick up a pork roast this week. Or maybe some pork bellies. mmmm....pork bellies....
My daughter eats ramen dry.
I believe I had a nice batch of leftover jambalaya w/ ham. Rogue Dead Guy Ale to wash it down.
I was going to make chili tonight-- I've been planning it for the last two days. But when I got home I found I had forgotten to buy a bunch of stuff :(. Hope tomorrow works...
By the way, it occurs to me that I should make some cornbread to go with it. Anyone got a good recipe they'd like to share?
