I went camping in the So Cal desert last weekend. It got down to 15ºF. BRRRRR! My toes still ache.

Too cold for us beachcombers! I should have bought a sweater to bring along!

It seems like everywhere else has experienced winter so far except the northeast. I think it was 55 degrees at 5 this morning.

I was in colorado last week and I don't think it got above 10 for most of the week

Or it's just beginning, depending on how you look at it. I continue to ride although the temps have been in the single digits. Not sure if I would call it a party, but hey it's riding.

Yes, ice does suck. A mother and daughter live across the street and they've been ice skating in thier front yard. Part of my crews job is clearing the drive and sidewalks. We tried the tractor this morning and all it did was polish the surface, almost like a Zamboni. And the company I work for has it's main office in SE Oklahoma where it's even worse. 2 to 3 inches of ice. 2500 to 3500 utility poles down and 160,000 buildings without electricity. They are trying to work from home by generator at least to get payroll out.

We hit a balmy 23 degrees today. Warmest it's been since last thursday.

I got to ride through four miles of ice boulders this evening. Whee-ee-eeee-ee-eeeee-eee-eee-e!
