I always struggle when I try to cover something with cling wrap or aluminum foil. First, I have unexplained difficulty in measuring off the proper length. Too often, I go short, not allowing enough to fold down on the sides.

But the worst part is the cutting. For foil, I only make it part way across and then it starts tearing horizontally into the piece I want to use.

Plastic wrap is even worse. Typically, I can't get the cutting edge to cut. So I yank the wrap back and forth across the blades. Finally it tears (not cuts) off at a weird angle. And naturally, amongst the frustration, the plastic sheet gets all waded up and I have to spend another 10 seconds peeling it back straight.

It's not a pretty sight. The really pathetic part is that I used to work in a kitchen, and I never did get the hang of it.

What kind of problems do you encounter in day-to-day tasks?

Auto mechanics.....

I can do the work, but I have big hands and the damn engineers designing modern cars design then to be serviced by Hobbits, I think, and I have a low frustration threshold for mechanicing! I've actually stuck a wrench in a tree after a temper explosion trying to work on my sister in Law's car, for example.

The tow motor. I just rip through things with it. As long as I don't look back after I hear a crash then I'm good. Just keep going I say. Keep going.

Painting. Last time I painted I ended up with paint in my hair, on my shoes, on my butt. Then while I was tired I wanted to rest and I leaned my back into wet paint on the wall.

Putting the fitted sheet on a bed. For some reason I find it nearly impossible to do, even though I'm 6'2" and have no trouble reaching the corners at the same time. By the time I finish, it looks like I've been playing twister.

Any thing that involves: opening peanut butter, jelly, turning off my i-pod. Fixing my glasess, shaking hands with some one. The list goes on.

This shouldn't be any surprise, given my first post, but I also can't wrap presents. The folds and cuts on the wrapping paper are always unsymmetrical with the package.

Ugly.

Ever see Julia Child? I saw her drop a whole lasagna on the floor, laugh it off, and toss back a glass of white wine while laughing. Et pourquoi pas?

This was about 11 years ago, I made this very nice lasgana as I was taking it out of the oven I dropped it upside down all over the over door the floor etc.

I threw the oven glove down in disgust, and went to the pub dinner ended up being approx 8 pints of stella and 2 basket supper of Scampi & chips.

Oh and I had to dismantle the oven door to clean the damm thing.

Cutting a straight line. It doesn't matter if it's knives or scissors, the lines are always crooked. Even when I use something to keep it straight. :(

Nah, eggbeaters. I'm not a fan of speedplays, since I prefer sneaker-style shoes, so I need a smaller mountain style cleat.

I have really bad luck with new shirts. If I wear a brand new shirt, odds are better than 50% that I will get a stain on it before the day is out, followed by an extended session with the spray-and-wash and a bucket of cold water. Fortunately, I've almost always been able to salvage them for additional use.

Hilarious, I'm pretty sure I got my first job because I was so handy with labels.

As for things I don't do well. I cannot wire stereo, computers, tvs neatly. I keep seeing pictures of neatly arranged wiring, so it must be possible. Just not by me. That lack of neatness applies to many things, including things mentioned here: bedding, foil/saran wrap, presents, just about everything but labels. Perfect print, every time!

Quadratic functions. Its like, wtf?

Cooking. I need every pot and pan and mixing bowl in the neighborhood just to make a meatball.

Running. I can run uphill OK, and downhill OK, but on flat level ground I look like Frankenstein stomping on ants.

A few times I've tried to bake and frost a double layered cake--not a pretty sight.

The cake halves turn out to be a funny shape and/or a chunk breaks off when I remove them from the pans and set them up for icing. I try to "repair" the cake or make it appear symmetrical by filling it in with extra icing, but then I can't get the surface to look smooth--icing gobs start sticking to the knife.

I don't even try to add any fancy decorations.
