Southern California - Where can I find a good training pool?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've been searching over the last week for a good pool that I can swim and train in. I'm looking for something around 25-50m that I can use. My main concern is the time restrictions, I need it to be available either early in the morning(4am+) or late at night(11pm+).
A couple of places I checked out were: Ballys(open from 5am-11:45pm 23m pool ****ty looking and too many people)
YMCA( 50m pool IIRC or 25m, really nice but they have serious time restrictions on when you can use it...only 6-7pm or 2-3pm and they close at like 8pm...something really too much).
Anyone have any good recommendations please??
I asked all my relatives and co-workers...
Thanks any help is appreciated!!!
Where is the person playing ovoleg living these days? It might help to know that.
24 hour fitness, if you dont mind paying.
I like their pools, and it does fit your time. 24 hours =]

Really?
I live in Reseda, 91335...
I looked at 24 hour earlier, do you know the size of their pool??
I found this one for 24-hour that has a pool,
"8612 Santa Monica Blvd
West Hollywood, CA 90069
(310) 652-7440 "
Is this the one you go to?

Yes, this asking-serious-questions-as-ovoleg thing isn't the least bit entertaining. Don't drag us down here.

My local LA Fitness has a 25m pool and opens at 4:30am, although not all facilities have those hours. Spectrum Club has nice facilities, too.
Swimmers and triathletes often train at the public pools, such as the 50m Culver City Plunge and the Torrance Plunge. Public lap swimming isn't allowed until 8am or so, but if you can keep up there are usually early morning Masters swim classes. Check with you local pool and see what they have to offer.
If you are used to currents and have a wetsuit, the South Bay has many swim groups that go from Pier-to-Pier, but you should be comfortable with at least a mile swim in open water.

Thanks I'll take a look! My main concern is for the place to not close so soon, I can't leave school till about 10pm :(

Look for a 24 hour fitness sports club near you, it should have a 25 meter pool. As with some pools however it may be only 5-6 ft deep in the middle. YMMV
Calabasas Swim and Tennis has open lane times at reasonable prices.

Any 24hr Sport gym should have a pool, I'm not sure what the normal prices are these days but I'm sure it's about 50-60 per month. I have the membership through my GF that gets a geat discount from working at Scripps.
The 24hr I used to live by had 5 lanes, the one here in Esco is only 3 lanes so some nites I have to wait for a lane. But for your time frame, there shouldn't be many using the pool. And they are heated to about 82-84*
Thanks guys I appreciate it!!

LA Fitness on Reseda and Devonshire supposedly has a good-sized pool. I had to check a few weeks ago for my neice who was visiting from out of town and wanted to practice for her team. She never made it over there but they were the closest to me and had a larger pool. That gym in Reseda (formerly Mid Valley Athletic Club--can't recall the new name) also has a pool, but it's pretty short.
You may try CSUN also (their pool is outdoors). No idea if they allow the public to use it.

Why does oloveg want to train in a pool? Won't that ruin his hubs?
