As I write this, it's a beautiful pre-summer (well...it's really spring here) day, and I had a great ride in this morning.
365 days ago, I was home nursing a broken clavicle, a wrecked bike, and being very thankful that it didn't turn out much worse (see recent threads on this forum...*sigh*)
As I had crashed out on a railroad about three years ago, and took over two years to heal back to normal (no breaks then) I was certain that I would take far longer with a broken wing to be back to normal.
The good news is that I'm back as strong as I was pre-crash, and have even started to lead indoor cycling classes at our University here. I'm hoping that we're going to be able to tandem (me and my three kids) this summer as well.
Life is good. Although the insurance still makes me very angry, I am OK.
bikeCOLORADO, tell your friend that he should not dispair...just make sure that the physio is done, and to watch out.
Take care and ride safely,
Tom
