 It's probably a can of cat or dog food with a different label put on it.

edit: ^ for the potted meat food product, didn't realize there was more than one :)

In closing, the only silver lining to this dark dark cloud is I have figured out why so many dogs lick their own *******s. They are trying to kill the taste of Beggin' Strips.

If you like "Steve Don't Eat It," you'll love "The Stinky Meat Project." http://www.stinkymeat.net/ If "Steve Don't Eat It" didn't do it for you. do not under any circumstances investigate what the Stinky Meat guys are up to.

BTW, I actually ate some "Potted Meat Product" on a bike tour. It's clearly meant as a sandwich spread, and it's made out of parts of ground up animals that (1) won't hurt you and (2) you wouldn't eat on a bet if you knew what they were, not for any good reason, but because . . . well, you just wouldn't. I didn't buy it again, not so much because of what is was made of or because of it's flavor or texture, but because it wasn't nearly enough to even begin filling me up.

from the portable, half-pint container...
http://www.thesneeze.com/art/breastmilk/gallon.jpg
to the more economical one gallon jugs.
