Bicycle Mechanics - How do I replace the fork?

on my Mountain bike? I also wanna know how I measure it, so I know which size to get? If you're wondering, it's a 1998 Speicalized Hardrock FS. The fork I have on now is not suspension!:beer:

If you have the money for a fork and you want to put it on a four year old bike maybe you should instead consider putting that money towards a new bike.
You might spend $300 on a fork(and possibly have to get a headset and stem as well) or $600 on a bike with the same fork, all new parts, under warranty, and maybe even a year of free service.
Not to talk you out of the joy of putting a new fork on.
