I just bought a new Cannondale F800SL and have done an easy 60-70 miles on it in the last 2 days. Nothing tough, just road and flat grass.

However, today i can to ride it and there seemed to be a 'knocking'/'clunking' noise coming from the bottom bracket as i pedalled.

Any ideas what might cause this?

It could be a bunch of things: loose BB or cranks Chainring bolts etc
If you just bought it take it to the shop and have them look at it. That is one of the best reasons to buy from a shop, to have them right down the street from you to fix your new sweetie when it makes an odd sound (or something falls completly off)
