I thought I would let all the great people of this forum in on the stats of my first half century. I started the day thinking I was just going to do my 50K loop but I felt so strong and so good I kept going. I swithced to Cytomax this morning and also started sucking back the power gels there actually quite good. At around the 70K mark and just before a 4K climb I hear this car approaching so I move over to the shoulder as I usually do but no car passes. I look over my shoulder and I see the front end of a Mercedes but there not passing me. This went on for about two minutes and then they pull up right next to me and ask me for directions to the spring water refill site, I felt like I was in the Tour and the team car was behind me unfortunately it really messed up my focus for the climb but I did well in the end. Anyways here are my stats, not Tour quality for sure but I am trying: 2:50:12 average speed 28.4 KM/H. One break for a power gel and water at about the 1.5 hour mark.

PS: To everyone out there, whether you ride 1KM or 100KM a day god speed and keep pedalling. :D :D :D
