Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I thought this might be interesting since there are so many athletes here.
I've got 44 beats per minute. How about you?

48-54, floating in that range....not bad for an old man of 47!

Oh no - I just checked and it isn't there...
It is around 45 the last time I could find it. ;)
Somewhere in this range.
54-60
The next time I get a shot at "resting", I'll let you know.
65ish, not too bad for a 46 year old "fluffy" female. :D

Chuck Norris doesn't have a heart. His veins pulse of their own accord.

Chuck Norris does not drive an Accord. He just thinks of where he wants to be and it comes to him. Also, Chuck Norris does not have a pulse. He died 7 years ago but Death is afraid to tell him.

Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.
Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.
Chuck Norris counted to infinity - twice.
There is no theory of evolution. Just a list of creatures Chuck Norris has allowed to live.
Whose resting heart rate is lower, Chucks or The Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Pfft. Chuck once got in a fight with the Monster, and he did a burnout on his face with the sole of his shoe mid-roundhouse kick. Then he ate him.

My heart never rests. It beats all the time. I, for one, am grateful.
mine was 110 before i started biking. 'twas one of the reasons i started in the first place, as thats unhealthy for most but terrible for a 24yr old. now when resting its in the 80's, at this very moment it's in the high 90's, didn't get much sleep and have been pounding the coffee.

56 at the moment. Will probably be lower in the summer.
A few years ago, I was turned away from donating blood because my heart rate was too low. ??? iirc, it was in the mid-40's.

400 Watts?
right now, maybe in the 60's. It used to be lower back when I ran a lot in high school.

60 right now. 2 year ago...80ish.
Mine is 34 or 36, can't remember exactly what the 24 hour heart rate monitor test the doctor's gave me was. That was around 3:00 am though. Just setting around it is in the low to mid 40's.

According to my pulse-oxymeter: Mid- to high-70's, down from 80's-90's just four months ago. I have a lot of work ahead of me to get back into CV shape.
But the lungs are working well. My oxygen saturation stays about 99-100%.

I received a heart rate monitor for x-mas apparently I've been labeled a health nut by my family.. I forgot to take it off after a ride and was just sitting in the recliner watching tv and the lowest it read was 53. on the bike I got it up to 198.. not sure how to interpret the results I need to read up on it. only rode with it a couple of times so far

MAX HR is on average 220- your age. There are factors such as general health and fitness that vary that.
Resting HR is generally the first HR of the day when you wake up before you get active.
I have never atually taken an accurate RHR. But after I flop around waking up and put on my highly accurate Target BPM:rolleyes: I get 68.

last time I checked it was 63.
Need to check it again and see how bad it is.
60 even when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes it goes down to 54, though. If I consciously try, I can get it to stay at about 50 for 20 seconds or so. That really freaks nurses out, because I'm a pretty big dude.

Mine is in the high forties when I wake up in the morning, mid fifties if I'm walking around. I was in the hospital recently and the nurses were concerned that it was too low but I was able to convince them that it was normal for me. It's been that way since I first took notice of it at about age 35 or so... probably longer. I am 61 and have been overweight for most of my life in spite of getting a lot of exercise (300-400 miles per month on the bike and 3-5 sessions at the gym per week).

Just checked on the machine here at work 49. I'm sure it would be lower if I just woke up. but I had to walk to machine first.

I did a 3.5 mile sprint about an hour ago, and its still up for some reason. Like 70-75 beats per minute.
Sprinting for 3.5 miles?? I'm surprised your heart didn't explode!
Michigander

Well, okay. Maybe it wasn't exactly sprinting, but I did do it in under 21 minutes for sure, and it was as fast as I could manage.
