I need to buy a bike or frame, or frame+ parts for my wife to ride to rehab her legs.
It has to have a low top tube, and 26"-MTB-wheels so it can take big soft, low pressure tires. It also needs to have lugs for V or cantilever brakes.
The rear spacing should be at least 130mm(I think 7 speeds and up).I have lots of pretty good wheels-Katrina rehabs.
The frame can be steel or aluminum-doesn't matter. A front suspension would be nice, but not essential.
I am near New Orleans and can travel 20-30 miles.
Shipping a frame is a possibility, but a frame-FedEx-from CA is about $25 for just the shipping charge, and they are a lot of trouble to pack.
It can be ugly, but no dents.
A bike with no wheels would be good.
I'm looking at staying under $125 delivered-kinda cheap.
Thanks,
Charlie
