I can't ride this weekend (20th & the 21st) and I'm wondering what's going on the weekend of the 27th. I might not be able to ride in the early am on Saturday, but the rest of the weekend is open...so far.

And when it comes to bad jokes, I ALWAYS have one of those days.

I actually liked Sandy Eggo, myself. I might design a route into San Diego that ends up at some place at which we can order waffles and steal that name. Then we can all grab each other in odd places, prompting "Let go of my eggo!" cries along the route. Thanks for the idea, Joel. :D

Nonsense! Me, pie, ice cream, and 74 degrees will all get along swimmingly!

Well, how about it, what's happening this weekend?

The way everone is getting the miles in, it really makes me want to get out there and compete for a better position. Without riding at all since LAST Saturday, I'm feeling left out.

So is anyone in the central OC going to put in the miles this comong weekend??? I'll have my daughter in the AM on Saturday but I'll be free in the late morning and on Sunday.

I'm hoping to do some sort of medium to long ride Sunday, but I think my parents may be visiting me. If they visit me, I'm not going to blow them off seeing as they'll be bringing down my car, Vivian, and a new cell phone.

Saturday: MTB Race, Fontana + road-ride back to Redlands, if I can get a ride out there.
Sunday: Hike. Got new mountaineering boots to break-in/try out.

Hey, I'm game, BUT...really, what are the chances of you messing up your back again real bad between now and then so I could still see you at mile three???:D

Sunday does sound like a good day for a century, if you're up for what to you would be a very slow one. If that's the case, then I'm your man!

By the way, how are you feeling???

Oh, come on, I'll let you borrow my truck and my cell phone for the day if that's all it is...how's that work for you?:D

My parents have invited themselves over for next weekend. There goes my riding. On the other hand, my BMW, my dear Vivian, and a new cell phone are showing up. I guess it's a fair tradeoff. :D Though a Sunday century sure sounds fun...

If it were my parents, a fair trade-off would mean a Ferrari, 2 iPhones, 4 new bikes, and a live-in chef.

Hey all,

I'm off of the bike for a few days, so I can't ride this weekend. I just had a molar removed that had already had two root canals done on it over the last 25 years, and I'm finally out of extreme pain since they pulled it, but the left side of my face is still all puffed up and the swelling pushes my eye closed a little. I was also told by the surgeon not the do any exercise of any kind for a few days so I guess I'll do as she says.

Now that the tooth is gone I feel a 1000% better, now what to do about that hole in my mouth...

I was up at oh three Brandy this morning after the first good nights sleep in two days, so of course I come here first. What a boring weekend it's going to be without riding and eating good stuff...maybe I'll get a tongue burrito (it really does melt in your mouth) at Los Primos on Sunday afternoon if my mouth feels better.

Thanks
