i'm thinking of hacking up an old tubular to make one.

the question is:

vittoria rallye or continental la?

the vittoria is wider [23mm] and has quite a lot of tread left.
the continental is 19mm and has that gorgeous worn look that completely slick tyres have.

[on the same subject: if anyone would like a lightly used vittoria rallye, pm me. it's lumpy, and has some dead spiders and woodlice stuck to the remnants of the glue. i'll throw them in for free.]

Didn't realize a duct tape wallet was 1) Hipster and 2) Involved an old tire.
Straight up duct tape smells like beef jerky for weeks :)

My kids bought me a real duct tape wallet. Commercially made, 100% duct tape. It did not last very long. It was also cheap thin duct tape. Not the best. Still one made with the best tape will not last too long.

yeah... i thought using an old tubular on the outside might make it a bit more durable.

That will help a lot , but the places where the tape is folded over will rip after a while. But, you can just make another one.

Man... back in 8th grade my good friend and I were WAY into making duct tape stuff. Shoes, bracelets, suits... and mostly, wallets. I had my frist wallet for like 2 years.

So fun.

i have one that was initially made out of paper and post office stickers that i made about 3 years ago. it has since been fortified with duct tape and masking tape and ****, but its the best

I've made some damn nice duct tape wallets in my time, but usually im too lazy to ever finish them. That said, What do tires have to do with this again?
