Cyclocross - Barrel Adjuster for mini-v brake and STI's

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have STI shifters, with mini-v-brakes (as reccomended by Planet-X). They are fine, but how can I work some barrel adjusters for some fine tuning of the brakes into the mix? I am using Tektro 917 mini v-brakes.

I have had STI 105 Levers and regular XT V Brakes on my cross bike since 2000.
At the time I could not find any type barrel adjuster that worked so i 'drilled out the brake cable inlet on the STI 105 lever and inserted a barrell adjuster right on the lever' .... i wanna say it was 11/32 hole, best to mic it if you try it!
NOW - they have a nice in-line barrell adjuster that can be put anywhere in your brake line housing( just split the cable)... good cyclocross shops seem to be the best place to find them, they are inexpensive and provide lots of adjustment.
good luck
Thanks for the suggestions, I think I can make it work!
Just thought I'd update with my results, in case it helps anyone else. I just went for the Travel Adjusters with barrel adjusters - they work awesome. Not hard to setup, no problems with braking performance and adjustment is really easy. Not cheap at about $20 a pop, but they were worth it to save me the hassle of other setups.
