Maybe we should set up a, uh, "members-only" sub-forum for "Pulled-Muscle Massage"? <innocent Vega look>

Good thinking, especially since it's a hip flexor.

Since I didn't see the insomnia thread handy...I'll post here. My back and shoulder have been bothering me for over a week now. The doctor gave me some meds and I took them around 6 pm tonight....slept like a rock until 12:30 am now I'm wide awake. The shoulder is feeling O.K. bu the back just keeps tightening up and keeps me from sleeping well. Uggh.
Too late! All of BF has caught my Martian Death Flu! The whole site must be quarantined and none of us allowed to leave!

Soma? That's what usually works for a chronic back situation for me. It hits me about once a year, and if I take a Soma, it keeps me from guarding, which as you know, can make a pain situation worse. If the pain persists beyond that, I take a Darvocet. And, of course, I work on stretching the affected muscles gently so as to get off of all meds as quickly as possible. Usually within two days, max.
My main back trouble seems to be in the thoracic region. Where does everyone else have problems? I know that the lumbar region is the most common.... <rootin' around for the "Insomnia" thread>

Thank you, VV. The strep is much better, but I forgot how unpleasant amoxycillin is. It doesn't matter how much yoghurt/kombucha/probiotic supplements I consume... One more day, and I won't be contagious anymore.
I highly recommend antique linen handkerchiefs for keeping the skin around your nose from getting raw.

Thanks for the advice on the hankies. I'll remember that next time I'm under the weather.
Here, have some chicken soup. :D

Thank you. I was getting somewhat tired of goose broth. :)
Something fierce struck me down this weekend. I had a serious fever, and I even tried more cowbell. :(
I think I'mma drive to the bus stop tomorrow. I'm still wheasing. Damn you, martian death flu.

Axon, has the fever subsided and do you have a sore throat? I didn't even imagine I had strep throat. I just went to the Dr to see if he'd write me an Rx for guaifenesin for my cough.
The fever's gone. Read my blog for gorey details, but basically it started as a World-of-Warcraft-induced head cold on tuesday, turning into some kind of bronchitis Friday, peaking its stranglehold on my existance last night, and finally subsiding today. Now all that's left is sore ribs and a little bit of a cough.

How did everyone sleep? Feeling a wee bit better today?
Here, have some hot tea. :D
Yes, even you, ax0n. Even though you called me a liar. :( :p

It's Monday and I'm sick of work already. I need some of them eyeglasses with the pop-eyeballs so I can take a snooze and look like I'm awake. Or maybe a note from my mommy?
Dear Chip's boss,
Chip has a common disease - sickoworkee - that can only be cured by giving him the rest of the winter off - with pay. Thank you for your cooperation.

A blurb on the news this morning about January 22nd being the most depressing day of the year. It is the mid-point of winter, credit card bills from Christmas have arrived, many folks are sick, and cabin fever.

We are having pretty nice weather down here... (I usually decide to not say anything about our weather around February - it starts getting dangerous for me to comment)
my back hurts feels like someone put a knife between
my shoulder blades which is unusual it's usually my lumbar region.
