I live in Austin, Texas, where a combination of heat and wind gives you hot wind.
I generally find that work gets in the way of riding but have a semi interesting job as a District Commander with EMS here so it balances out OK.
I race with United Youth Sports on my Trek 5200 as a 38 year old Cat 4. My team does a lot of stuff with underpriviledged kids as well and we sponsor a major TXBRA race every year at Pace Bend park in Western Travis County (LA showed up to race a couple of years ago, Chann Mcrae usually shows up). We are currently hosting a series of crits in a state park and will be doing a series of TTs as well.
I also work with LAF on RFTR among a lot of other cycling/charity related stuff.
My wife tells everyone that I am a cycling fanatic but she genrally only gets upset when I leave cycling related gear laying around to long in the living room, so I guess that pretty much covers it.
