Bicycle Mechanics - Problem with my bike???????

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I can't seem to work out what's wrong with my bike. It just doesn't feel right when I ride. At first I thought it might be that the cone on the hub might be worn away but I've had it checked out and there isn't a problem.
The rims are not dented or damaged and the spokes have all been replaced and trued.
The only other thing I can think of is that on the rear wheel the splines on the hub body and the splines on the cassette cog are worn and this results in a slight wobble whilst moving. Can this be known to be a problem?

Describe what it is doing, sounds like something is wobbling but you need to be more specific.

If it feels like a wobble in the wheel, but the hub and rim are OK, it might be that the tire is not seated evenly all the way around the rim.

...need input
Is your suspected wobble in the cogs/freehub or the rim.
If you take the wheel axles in your hand and spin the wheel, does it rotate freely, without any grinding or lose play.
Is your rim true in vertical and horizontal when you spin it on the bike (check against brake pads).

From the way that you describe your problem, it sounds to me like you have "chain skip." That's a fairly common problem.
Chain skip occurs when the chain and cassette/freewheel get worn too much or when the chain and cassette/freewheel are mismatched. Mismatching occurs when you put a new chain on a worn cassette/freewheel or vice versa.
