I always seem to have too much to read and too little time so I figured a good way to get around it would be to learn to read faster! I've looked into the subject and there seem to be a few books on methods of "speed reading" so I thought I'd give it a go. Only thing is, some people have told me that you won't understand what you're reading when you learn to speed read and have made other various negative comments on the subject. Does anyone here know anything about it at all?

It is for real. The problem is, it takes a lot of practice, and until you get good at it, no, you won't comprehend very much.
This (http://www.amazon.com/Evelyn-Seven-Day-Reading-Learning-Program/dp/1566194024/sr=8-1/qid=1169426786/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-3598178-9302555?ie=UTF8&s=books) is the book to get.
