I was over at one of my favorite shops (http://www.freerangecycles.com/index.shtml) the other day that just became a Kogswell dealer. They had just gotten it in. Apparently a prototype. It looked like a standard 18t cassette cog that had just been drilled out. Nothing fancy, but from what I've seen of the descriptions of people drilling their own it could be worth a few bucks not to have to go through the hassle.

I paid 4 drill bits and some blood for my bolt-on cog. It was worth all of it.

IMO, it is one of those peices that with the right equipment is super simple. Without the right tools it could be a large PITA. I bought two Kogswell cogs and liked them.
