I'll be riding the Sunrise Century on Sat. I'm pretty sure i will be able to recognize jorpe in the crowd from his forum picture

I've been dropping weight for 3 years. I started at 210 and my wardrobe has been changed out a few times. Someday I hope to find a weight I am happy at. :rolleyes:

...but buying new clothes is a fun problem to have. I'm finding it strange that I can fit into 34 inch waist jeans and small shirts. Small? WTF?

I ordered an extra small jersey... it's just a little bit too big for me. :p

I wanted to do a big ride on saturday and figured the only way I could do it was to ride supported in some event. Sounds like there's a group of BFers doing something as fun that doesn't cost like the sunrise century. :)

When I was smoking up a storm and before I married my wife, I weighed all of 135 lbs. Same height 5'9" and no muscle. Wimpy anorexic. Don't have that problem anymore.... duh.

Yep it will be a great time :) and it doesn't cost a thing.

There are places for us to stop for anyone that needs to get food or anything like that. :)

I'm slow too. Though whenever I ride with someone else I tend to chat and chat and chat. Kind of hard to tell if I'm slow or not when all I do is freaking talk! Someone please bring a roll of duct tape. Either that or let BM set the pace. :eek:

I've got an extended cab truck with room for 5 and bikes...I'll be in thornton that morning already.

But pwnt will hurt me... :p

Since I have yet to formally meet jorpe I will hitch a ride with him.
Place and time we should meet? I can do anywhere in thornton but a park-n-ride may be nice. Say wagon road at 120th or would thornton pnr work better? I have no clue how long it takes to drive to c470 and morrison or even how to get there. If you are already in thornton I could meet you there.

I'm interested in doing the Lariet Loop ride, but does anyone know what kind of elevation gain it has? I've been doing 50 mile rides, but they have been mostly flat rides.

psiphi, I'm not real sure, I tried looking it up but I didn't get an correct elevation gain from where we are starting.

Somewhere in the 2,950 ft elevation gain.

Like I said don't take my word for it though.

For what it is worth 3000 is pretty easy for a 50 mile loop. Around 6000 is when it gets annoying for me.

Well this is starting from Bergen Park in Evergreen, we are starting in Morrison. We have to climb to Evergreen, but its really not that bad. :)

Climbing is your friend. If your starting your training for the triple NOW, you'll be a machine for it next year. :)
