It would be great to meet you next time. :)
Hey thanks! Can somebody email me next time? zin.rider @ gmail.com?
I'm on my own this weekend and could have really used a fun time. :)
Sorry Zin,
We would have loved to have you along. It was a great ride, surprisely made me sleeply. :)
Hey Snowy, No worries! I guess I really need to watch this forum more closely. ;)
I'm riding out of Loveland with some of my Club Hypoxia friends tomorrow. If anyone is interested in tagging along.
I'm doing a mtb ride with a girlfriend tomorrow so that won't work for me. Maybe next time though :)
Man, great ride.....even better nap afterward. :D
Now for a great burger.

How did you do it?
I have been unable to drop weight no matter how many miles I ride or how high of an intensity I ride at. My appetite seems to increase twofold. However, since I have started calorie counting a month ago I've lost between 1 and 2 lbs a week. Woo hoo!

Yeah... I can't seem to drop any more weight, either. I'm stuck at 128. *ducks and runs*

www.precisionnutrition.com for all your nutrition and calorie counting needs :) There are multiple threads here on this system, aikigreg is a big fan of it, as am I. John Berardi compiled it, he's a PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry, CSCS...

high fiber, low fat, low glycemic index carbs. --though losing 1-2lbs a week is perfect. Keep it up, it'll fall--

I have 8 lbs till my goal of 155. Then I will see where to go from there. Oh and I am 5'9" tall. Not overweight by any means but would like to improve my climbing skillz.
OK, this is not the nutrition thread...move along!!! WHO WANTS TO RIDE!!! I hear it helps you lose weight. :P

I would guess I will be riding somewhere that day. I doubt I can make it to copper mountain that morning.
Data,
How did I do it. Wellllllll... I think for me it was a combination of things. I hired a trainer last year and she really helped me balance my diet out. Lots of protein in the morning, she suggested I have about 75-90milgrams a day. I wasn't getting enough protein daily to help my body physically. NO SUGARS except for lots of fruits. I eat tons of fruits and veggies all day long. I have between 5-6meals a day.
Also, I think the lost of a very important person helped the weight loss along too. But really I was just putting a ton of miles on the bike and really watching my diet. Eating Clean!!! :)

Thanks for the info snowy. I now have a few things to look at on fitday. That or I could hire a personal trainer if I ever have time.
Anyhow, I am out for the next 2 weeks. My grandfather passed away today and I am heading to Washington State with my mother to be with the family. That is the actual reason I was not chatty last Saturday not "I couldn't hear". See y'all the next time. :)
It was a blast last Saturday. :)
:( Sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Mike.

At least I am visiting family members I have not seen for a couple years. One can find a silver lining in anything if you look hard enough. :)

Finally back in town and at work.
The real reason that I posted was to relate the fact that my wife purchased a Garmin Edge 305 with HRM and Cadence to make me feel better. :)
Cool beans! Now I have to figure out how to use it....:p

Meh... you don't need all those complicated technical doodads. Just ride.
(Oh, and feel free to give it to me, so you won't have to deal with it! :p )

Anyone have plans this weekend?

Cool! I have one too - Get SportTracks, it's better then the Training Center software.
Don't forget to look up from your computer once in a while and look at the real world ;)

I try to wander aimlessly but I know every damned road on the Front Range. Hard to get lost that way. And I seem to have a compass implanted in my head. I never get lost...even in new locations.
I even get people asking me directions in places I've never been to...and the bad part is I can usually give them:eek: Like the trucker who stopped me in the middle of nowhere, WA and asked where the wind farm was. I'd never been there before but I was able to get him to his destination anyway.
I'm tellin' ya, I can't get lost! It's a curse.

As a teenager I could occasionally manage to get lost in my hometown of 30K people. Keep in mind this is a relatively small town planned by the government on a simple grid. However, I was not .... how shall we saw.... sober. Bad DJ had drug issues as a youngin.

I used to drive city delivery and got lost in Denver once. After figuring out where I was, I swore that I would never be lost again (see Scarlet O'hara's great speech half way through Gone With the Wind;)) I haven't been lost since.
And, oddly, people have been asking me directions since then, too. It's like I go "INFORMATION" tattooed on my forehead.
I heard bmc087 is going to ride the TDF next year on his touring bike "Tankerbelle"

I have time to ride on Saturday.
Eventually, I would like to hook up on a ride (or at least part of one) with some of the local BFers and put faces to avatars, but this weekend is out and I'm out of town the following two weekends. Maybe when I get back.
Anyone have plans this weekend?

I'm going to Beaver Creek for the weekend. But maybe next weekend??

They're picking me up and hauling my tank up to the start so I don't have to start out at 4 AM to try to make it. ;)

Crud. Can't make it.
Someday I swear!
I need to stay closer to town Saturday.
Going to take a short ride up lookout.
It looks like RMCC is doing the same ride as y'all. That is if I read their website correctly.

Meh. RMCC is doing the REAL ride. Not like us. RMCC is starting from Bergen Park. On a positive note, if there's any bad weather to be had, they'll get it, and not us. :p
Club Hypoxia has some pretty great rides planned for Labor day weekend (Including Mt. Evans again!), if anyone is interested.
Snowy!!!! COME RIDE WITH US! :)
