Location:Start/End near La Jolla University Town Center
When: January 20, 2007
Type: (century, double, double-metric, metric): 200KM
Number of Riders: 100 (guesstimate)
Organizer: San Diego Century Riders
Rating: 5
Comments on SAG support and Rest Stops: Unsupported. The organizers let everyone know that no traffic control, bathrooms or food were provided. Two checkpoints with water. Riders were expected to be self supporting or stop at stores on the route.
Comments on the route: Great scenery of northern San Diego County. The route put us on Highway 76 for two short periods but mainly kept us on less travelled roads. The other riders were very friendly people.

When: January 20, 2007
Type: 200K
Number of Riders: ~100
Organizer: San Diego Century Riders
Rating: 4.5
Comments on SAG support and Rest Stops: This was a non-supported brevet, although the organizers were nice enough to have some water and fig newtons at the 1st checkpoint. 2nd checkpoint was at a deli, so food was good and plentiful.
Comments on the route: Covers some beautiful SD backcountry. A few stretches of dicey high speed traffic and/or narrow shoulders but most of the route was quiet and serene until the last 50 miles of suburbia and PCH. About 6500ft of climbing. I gave the ride a 4.5 only because a rider did get hit in a narrow shouldered section of Reche Road.
