I heard at the finish of that cat you have to over the bar skid through a gaunlet of mountian lions and bears. you win if you make it through.

Do the mountain lions have huge talons?
4th place isn't bad for my first alleycat ever... if only we didn't get lost on that memorial hall check point
That was a lot of fun, pretty brutal on the way to memorial hall too. Pretty well organized too for most races, hope to see more from maxknee.

other sets from that day:
tink - (13th overall in cat) (http://flickr.com/photos/tink20seven/sets/72157594531017577/)
romel - (i think 5th overall in cat?) (http://flickr.com/photos/rpc180/sets/72157594529562048/)
matt, good job on winning first overall. the pink and red hip pack is so rad and lame at the same time. ha.
my friend brian from boston (the one woh got nailed 5 seconds into the race) was 5th overall. We could been 3rd and 4th but we were locking up our bikes as 3rd place was walking in the door
maybe 7th then. i know he was the first from dc to finish, and did pretty well.
i wasn't there until everybody had finished.

was he the guy who rolled in and was like "am I first out of town?" if so, he was 4th or 5th, depending on whether you count my DQ'd ass.
yup, that would be him. i turned in my manifest directly before him.he was bummed he wasn't first outta town.
i can't wait for the next one, sorry we weren't more social after the race, he was only in town for a few days i hadn't seen em in like 3 years.

I was trying to figure out if you were yelling or yawning. Guess I got my answer.
He was doing neither, he was making a face.
A great face at that.
I came in 7th thanks to Vic :) Surprised that it wasn't first out of town but wasn't bummed. I did alot better than the New Year's Eve Alleykitten (53 out of 71!)

philly, dc came up in you and rode this race, you should all come down in may or june (date still TBD) for the nintendo/mario bros race. flyers are almost done once we announce a date.
i'll help find places for us to sleep.

Ha, that alleykitten was no joke and many NYC'ers got lost in that race.
