What do u guys think of it? I work at a specialized dealer and am getting it at an AWESOME deal... does anyone have one? Ride one.. etc. I'm getting it instead of the Sworks (which I originally was getting) because it will be my racing frameset and well the people I race with aren't the smartest Cat. I will keep my 02 Raleigh International (steel) bike to train on in the fall/winter
thanks guys!!

I'm sure its a great bike...one of my riding buddies has last years Allez...its lightweight, stiff, and looks great. The stiffness really helps the bike climb and sprint well...
Only problem I see is that its almost too stiff it would be uncomfortable over longer rides. My friend complains that he gets more "beat up" over out longer rides due to the bike being unforgiving with road vibration and bumps. I test rode one this fall at a DC bike shop and loved its acceleration abilities, but my ass was sore after only about 30 minutes...
Good luck man :)

I guess I don't understand your thinking here? The SWorks is the racing frameset, not the Allez. Also I think anyone that is racing knows the difference.
What exactly are the price diiferences you are using?

actually.. the allez comp is a racing frameset, it doens't have the "E5 technology" but it is a great bike to race on. Also the prices aren't to be told because it is employee purchase deal.

And ps. The comment about anyone that is racing knows the difference was wrong. Anyone that is racing knows that as a Cat4 coming out of juniors you don't want to spend every red penny in ur pocket for your race frame. Maybe once I move up to Cat 3, but right now there are way too many crashes for me to put it all on the line for a frame.
