Still gradually edging my way toward getting another folder, and looking at Bromptons. I might order online if I do get one.

One company I'm looking at, because they are listed on the UK Brompton site, is C.M. Wasson. ( http://foldabikes.com/ ). I had one brief Email exchange so far, and left a message on their voice mail. Has anyone here ordered from them? How did it go?

Opinions on other (US) online dealers?

Are you in Conn.? If so, I think that you are relatively close to a bunch of dealers in NYC.

I got mine from Wasson. He's a nice guy who runs his biz. out of his home. He's also quite busy and can be hard to get a hold of. It's obvious he has other interests besides selling bikes, but his stock for most items is pretty good.

I've had a good Dahon experience from Calhoun cycles (probably drop shipped though). Their Brompton prices are competitive. Right now they're running a free shipping promo.

If I was in the same coast as you are, I would check out the Bfold website and even go to the store if you can. I live in Southern California and I bought my own Brompton from a Seattle WA bike shop's Southern California branch in Oceanside, CA. I look for other things beyond just price.

Yep, that's a possibility, except that trips into New York are usually inconvenient. Might have to do that, but want to look at all options.

I will also vouch for Wasson. He really knows what you need. He ship every where. I live in WA and no problem shipping. The price is very reasonable specially with all the accoutrement you need. Get a 6 speed instead of the 3. If you leave a message he will call back.

I got my Brompton M6R-Plus from bfold.com. I live in NYC so I bought it in person. The proprietor, David Lam, gives excellent support and service and keeps his place well stocked. I highly recommend bfold.

I also recommend bfold. Just talk to David and you will see the difference.
