The worst road I've ever ridden is Moulton pkwy/El Toro Rd...no bike lane/narrow road, tons of speeding traffic...I actually felt a speeding Bus overtaking me brush my left arm....

I commute that every day. Very hairy. Best to try and time when you pass through the intersection so that you hit it on a yellow -- that minimizes traffic behind you.

BTW, Did you notice they removed the "share the road" signs? Niiiice.

No, I never noticed the absence of the signs...I just try and avoid that intersection completely...be very careful, I'm sure you are!!

Lancer?

It had the worst rating among used cars ever. Something like 99.9% of owners said they would never buy another.
Yeah I wasn't too impressed in the long run. I really wanted to get an Imprezza, but Mitsu had a 0% financing program at the time. It costs a fortune to replace the timing belt ($500-800). The car's alignment was never that great, either, with a non-adjustable front camber that was often in the positive (I installed a device to allow me to set it to -0.5 for better tire wear). It's fairly reliable, but I think I will look more closely at Toyotas next.

To keep it on topic, Sepulveda going out of the valley never seems to bad to me (except rush hour) but I don't dare ride it on the valley floor ir in Los Angeles.

What's that road that runs along the freeway just outside Ventura? The one with all the motorhomes parked at the beach?
It's called The Rincon Parkway, and it's not bad, just watch for surfboards and stuff comming from between parked vehicles, and the odd wrong-way rider.

Eh, it's a car forum for teenagers who like to tune slow Japanese family cars. I must have done an ok job because they won't take me off the list even though I rarely post and took all the fun parts off my car. Or it might just be that it costs nothing to keep me on staff.

Well, I have returned from my 3 days in solitary with a new "avatar" (I didn't like my pic anyway) and a new "signature".

I thought it appropriate.

I can't believe how the thread disentigrated in my absence. All this talk about nothing related to the topic. Even cars....

I included the urbster's remark about Mitsu's because.... (deep breath now)... it's really pretty stupid. First off, I don't really thing the EVO's qualify as "slow Japanese family cars". If you care to, you might want to check out their rally records in Europe. Pretty impressive actually. Let me guess... you prefer the WRZ instead. Whatever.

BTW is it ok for me to give you a nickname or will that get me banned again. Just asking. I'll gladly edit it if it offends you.

Also, I'm going to give it alot of thought and welcome myself back by starting a new thread, which will no doubt be bike related AND it will be guaranteed to be controversial.

Everybody should love it. It won't neccessarily offend anyone.... at least not as much as the absolutely gross, hairy, disgusting, leg laceration. I think it was a leg. I don't want to go back and look.

If your gonna allow those grossout's to be posted, does that mean we can discuss and post pic's of our saddle sore's? I'll bet some of us have some great stories....

PS My most humble appologies to anyone I offended with my previous posts.

You must have missed the point that I moderate the LANCER portion, not the EVO portion. My 100 hp (at the wheels), 2800 lb family car is indeed slow, but you're right that the Evo is much faster. I have worked at enough local rally races to see their awesome abilities myself. It's just that evolutionm.net was started and is still predominantly run by LANCER owners. I included the website, but you had to spat your mouth before knowing what you were talking about. No biggie.

But yeah, the whole post is stupid because it has gone far off topic. That happens in regional forums. Deal with it. Urbster? No worries.

btw did he really get banned for something or is that just his self proclaimed title?

edit: And I would have preferred the Imprezza (no need to insure a turbocharged WRX), but mainly because it came in a really pretty blue. But I couldn't swing the extra $3000 so the Lancer was good enough.

Scootcore had to deal with insane drivers on Moopark and Lankershim this morning. One guy tried to run him down and honked at him. :D

EVO owns any subby any day of the week. My buddy has a evo9 LOVE IT. Wish I had one. Got my box instead cuz my credit sucks. I'll get an EVO one day. I had 2 DSMs in the past, one was pushing 409HP to the group. Cars are fun!!

Did he go up past Roscoe on Lankershim with 2 other riders, say around 7:00am? If so, I saw them riding past the bus stop I was waiting at for my second bus to work. I was thinking "lucky *******s". I should be allowed to ride next Tues. *crosses fingers*
