1:Folgers
2:Sanka
3:Maxwell House
4:Hills Bros
5:Chock Full Of Nuts.

Out of all of those put in order which you drink if you had no choice.

You can add reason if desired.

My favorite ordinary coffee is MJB. I think it's a regional brand.
My rank from your list:

Maxwell House
Folgers
Chock Full
Hills Bros
Sanka

Sanka's OK but I don't understand the point of coffee without caffeine.

What ever became of Chase & Sanborn?

No idea, don't understand the no caffeine thing with sanka. Never had Chase & Sanborn.

My favorite ordinary coffee is MJB.

Of the mass products thats what I choose. But traditionally I buy local stuff.

They grow coffee in British Columbia?

Or is that Baja, California?

I buy my coffee from a local roaster. Great, great coffee and very reasonably priced ($5/lb). I don't drink coffee made from space crystals.

Maxwell House if I buy mass market coffee, Folger's at the in-laws. Don't know that I've even ever tried any of the others. Generally I buy semi-mass market Kona blend, you know, the stuff you grind yourself at the grocery store.

I would switch your 1 and 2 there, but other than that, it's the right order.

Although...with slightly more consideration, I'd learn to live without coffee rather than drink any of that swill.

If you don't drink sugary sodas or "juice" that's mostly water that is colored and sweetened, I suppose you can call it swill but coffee is one of the oldest herbal beverages in continuous use.

The newspaper carried an article a few months ago about how schools in Brazil start kids on coffee in the elementary grades. It not only better than Coke or Pepsi, etc. it's also part of their cultural heritage.

I've started every day since second grade with coffee. Caffeine withdrawal is one of the things that motivates me to drag my ass out of bed in the morning.

Matter of opinion, but I enjoy a good coffee. Its right up there with a tasty scotch. It, when done right, can make my day.

I think you misunderstood me. I LOVE coffee......and GOOD coffee. So when I mean that swill, I am referring to the options given, not the beverage in general.

See above. I enjoy a good coffee too. It's just none of the choices presented constitute GOOD coffee.

Folgers is ok for me if it's the Gourmet Supreme, their strongest variety (apparently). Prefer Seattle's Best, tho.

If I have to drink mainstream coffee, it's CFON, Maxwell House, then Folgers. Other than that, it's gourmet all the way, babee!

Same here....gourmet all the way.

CFON is the only coffee in that group I would even let touch my lips. Should have at least had 8 o'clock coffee in there.

My Mom drinks Folgers and when she makes coffee.....what can I say! I try to convert her, and her backup is Maxwell House. Fortunately, I only have to drink it when she's up for the Summer from Fla!:D

EDIT: %#$@ TYPO"S!

Most of my family is the same way. I just choose not to drink most times if that's all there is.

After you've had fillet mignon, it's hard to eat hamburger very often.
