I just got back from a ride where I endoed pretty badly. I check everything my bike and I are fine. 2 hours later arriving home and sitting down I suddenly feel this sharp pain in my right thigh. I look down and behind and low and behold 3 large scars have formed, blood all over my shorts and down my thigh. Incredible how your body doesn't notice anything when you are busy :)...
Oh in case anyone was wondering what did it. It was the pedals when I endoed I put my feet down and my thighs hit the handlebar...dumb way to endo arg...

Your crash still probably wasnt as stupid or bad as what I did on friday night. I had just got home and was putting on my new intense shoes....I got one on and a friend came over and wanted to go ride. This time he brought a car so I decided to go. There was a group meeting out on the trails at around 6:30 and we went with them. We first rode a trail called flow....but it was changed since I had last been on it and it was sweet. Then we rode another trail with a nice log ride on it. People took turns going and I went 2nd to last or something. Rode up from the ground up ot about 6 feet tall and grabbed onto a tree like it was what I was going for.......I was now stuck, I always find it hard to let go of a tree and keep riding. The log was 4" wide, I sat up there for awhile pondering what I should do. I finally let go of the tree and started to ride......but I started leaning to the left and began to dismount the bike by trying to jump over it like I always do......but I didnt make it over the bike and I started to fall and landed and hit the ground violently on my back and head. Layed there for approx 10 seconds, a few people came over and I told them I was ok....a little shaken up and didnt even get the wind knocked out of me. So we kept riding down the trail......at some point there was a line of bikers hitting the double teeter totter so I got off my bike and waited....my turn so I went to get on my bike and got a little hung up and was jerked forward a little bit and my chest STRETCHED or something...........oh my god was I in pain. After that it was hard to breathe and I passed up all the rest of the log rides and a huge huck at the end. Hopefully this will heal soon so I can ride again/play tennis and whatever, and hopefully it wont happen again because it was preeeetty bad.

Brutal...to be honest I have the same problem. Once I grab for something I may as well walk. I can never get going straight again. The injuries sound like a combination of a couple of things. Hopefully you didn't do any damage. I have dislocated my rib cage playing football and it was a fairly long recovery :)

crashing definitely puts it all in perspective.... here's one of me upside down in a dried up river bed-
hope you all are both healed completely soon.

Unfortunately...yes...I wish I had started riding years ago. (if I had just let go of the handlebars it would have been good :))
