Folding Bikes - hornless bike seats

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Anyone here use one of those hornless bike seats on their folder?
what brand and comments?
i googled bike seats history and the horn is apparently for aiding in turns. probably on fast bikes in races??? would a folder be more comfortable with a hornless seat?
thanks

Forgive me for being un-edgimucated, but what is a horn and what's it doing on my seat!!! ;) Seriously, I've never heard of it before,

I've never tried it. Don't see it being used very much at all.

I'm currently using this seat.

And spent about 6 months with a seat called the Spongy Wonder from Canada. (That was not such a good design).
Here are some quick thoughts:
- these seats require some trial and error in adjustment for the greatest amount of comfort (I like a slight tilt forward);
- if you have grown up riding a bicycle, guiding it by applying pressure with the insides of your thighs against the nose of the seat becomes second nature ... a control option which is lost when the seat has no nose. Vertical control is all done with your arms.
The Comfort Seat has not been a "revelation". But it's been a good value for me.
Eventually the whole issue of weight on my Truly Sensitive Areas will be moot. I'll need to move to a recumbent, anyway, to solve the problems with my elbows and wrists not being able to handle the weight involved in riding a traditional frame.
