I was going to have some diving blocks made for a small local swim team. A rough drawing is below. What would be the best type of angle stock to use? Any mechanical engineers around?

Before I built a set, I'd look to see how much it would cost to buy them. If it's more cost effective to buy purpose built than to build them yourself...Maybe even see if a local org like the Kiwanas or United Way will fund match with you and get the team involved in the fundraising as well. It's a chance to build leadership and community spirit in the kids! Just a thought.
Then there is that liability issue. If little Johnny slips and breaks his leg, are you going to be in the line of fire? Your heart truly is in the right place, though and good luck!:D

If you do build them, here's a site that lists the materials that their blocks are built with. Hope this helps!
