This question might be best answered by the smarty-smarts over in classic & vintage.

I think I installed the extension at home. It reads the color of a single pixel in a jpeg.

66ffdd is a good starting place if you want to use trial and error

to clarify, are you looking for a PAINT code, or a hex value? hex value is easy to approximate as mentioned above. for a paint code go down to your local auto parts store, or autobody shop with a sample of the original paint if possible, and look through their paint chip books until you find a close match, then pay them to mix you up a quart.

and don't forget that they actually trademarked that color. the IP police will come get you for misuse.

If in doubt, ask to see their aqua, teal, turquoise and whatever other similar colours and then choose which one you want. Bianchi used so many variations you can't go wrong. Nobody is going to call you for being 'off' either.

That's what I thought. Most people have been giving you a hexidecimal color value for web browsers, which is only useful if your frame runs Internet Explorer, because it'll look more like "mint" when viewed in Firefox ;) You want a paint code, and Autobody shops have big books full of them.

I think of celeste as having a little more green in it than this.

I didn't find anything about the celester color being trademarked, but you can see the Bianchi logo TM here:

Hit up a sign shop with a scanner and digital printer.

There is a guy on this board who runs something called Velographics. IIRC they do vintage decal reproductions.

Contact Ed Litton. He either still is or did all *factory* repair work for Bianchi USA.
Some info on Ed Litton can be found here:

Also, I saw they sold celeste touch up pain on the Bianchi site before. Perhaps ordering a bottle of that would be a good way to get somebody to mix you the exact colour?

(I know its more expensive and time consuming, but if you want to be anal about it)
