I'm seriously considering buying a recumbent due to back issues. However, I'd want to test ride a few different styles, for at least a few days to a week, before purchasing. Is there such a place in SoCal?

Can't remember the name but there is a place in Orange (Anaheim) that could help you. I live in Kansas but know about them cause my brother lives in Anaheim.

The one I'd recommend in the area is Bentup Cycles, in Van Nuys. There is also PeopleMovers in Orange. They both have Internet presences.

I second the recommendation of Bentup Cycles in Van Nuys. Nothing wrong with the other suggestions, but you'll find the best selection, the most knowledgeable staff, and the best mechanic at Bentup Cycles. (I have also bought from Richards in Orange County which is OK, but not as good IMHO). I have been cycling for 50 years and I've bought dozens of bikes in that time. Bentup Cycles is flat out the best cycle shop I've ever dealt with. There are other places around here that are pretty good, but I can't recommend Bentup Cycles highly enough.
