Overnight towns are announced on web site: http://www.ragbrai.org/

Anyone else riding it this year?

Scary oddly enough, my boss snagged two invites.

So your boss & 1 or 2 others are riding it? Are you one of them?

Looks like a flat route this year. Last 2 days will have some hills. I'm stoked and ready to roll. I hope to get a new Orbea Vuelta in a couple of weeks. Then I'll want to ride even more. See ya in the corn fields.

I'm on it for a day or two. Probably the Humboldt-Hampton or Hampton-Cedar Falls day.

This will be my first time. Looking forward to a great time and it sounds as if it will be a good route for a newbee...

I would like to ride RAGBRAI, just NOT with my boss.

Don't blame you there. As much as an employee may like their boss, a vacation from work with out the boss is just that, a vacation away with out the boss.

Are you riding RAGBRAI this year? Or because your boss is taking off to do it you're stuck working?

I'm signing up for the whole week. Team NAVY!

I can't wait - though since I need to get in some training miles, it's good that I have to!

AS much as I'd like to, July is high tourist season. Yep, the boss takes vacation whenever he likes. The bike shop manager works his arse off no matter what. I would need more vacation then just the week of the ride. At least two days to get there and two day back, if not more to get back. Then recovery time.

Sorry, DD, maybe next year.

Don't know what the policy is for putting in for time off or when you receive it, but if you gain the time off at the first of the year then I'd put in for it then. Even if it is only 1 week & you have to take a couple of days with out pay for travel, if you can afford to do so.

Which are you, the shop mgr or, forgive the term, just a peon at the bottom of the totem pole?
