I bought a bike rack yesterday $179 including tax. I was picking it up to carry out and the owner, Mike, wanted to know why the employee had not assembled it for me. I said that I was going to do it myself, but if he would do it, I would pick it up tomorrow.
Also, the rack WILL NOT leave his shop with me, until he puts one of his Bike Shop stickers with his telephone number on it, onto the bike rack. I will pay more money than I would pay at a discount store, and never miss a dime of it, if it means good service.
I didn't have the guts to tell him that I had just come from WalMart, and taken back the $59 piece of junk that they called a bike rack. The rack that I returned was a Bell brand. I had always thought that Bell products were quality products. I guess that this is another lesson learned via the wallet and time spent learning it. - Ted
