I guess I have poor circulation. I concluded last winter that only mittens will truly keep my fingers warm enough below freezing. Today, at 0F, I had the mittens with glove liners, and warmers, and my fingers were fine, but my thumbs still got chilled!
Has anyone else had a problem with cold thumbs and found a way to address it? I suppose I could try stuffing cotton around them or something.

Expose them to the elements, once thy go numb, the cold dosn't hurt any more :)
I run into that same problem, I generally end up tucking them against my palm and only gripping the handle bars as needed.
