It looks much older than 1998 (judging by the style of the decals). Got any better photos of it?

No. I don't have any other pics. I also can't find any 720 hybrids BEFORE 98. Those after were not red, so I am assuming it was a 98 model.

Looking at the graphics and the color, I'd guess it's a 1990 model.

The horizontal top tube, canti brakes and threaded non suspension corrected fork are also out of place on a 1998 bike. The wheels also look like 26" with slicks not 700c so it could originally have been sold as an mtb.

Bright red paint with white decals/purple accents, Suntour XCT components.... I think we have a winner.

I'd guess suggested retail was about $299

I'd put its value at $125 max. Less if the drivetrain shows wear and will need replacement soon. The Suntour stuff is very difficult to find today, but often there are suitable replacements floating around.
